Dr Bob Eccleston is a specialist anaesthetist working at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and privately across Brisbane. He graduated aeronautical engineering and commerce degrees before completing medical school at the University of Sydney in 2011. Undertaking internship and residency years at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, prior to moving to Brisbane as part of an Army posting cycle.

Bob subsequently went on to serve with the military at home and abroad and completed training in general practice prior to discharging in 2018. He went on to complete anaesthesia training at a variety of South-East Queensland hospitals, Lifeflight retrieval medicine and Queensland Ambulance.

Bob provides anaesthesia for a variety of tertiary specialties at RBWH, but has a special interest in trauma management, bariatric and upper gastrointestinal procedures.

When not at work, you might find Bob cycling towards Redcliffe, building Lego with his kids, or trying to cook something new.
